My recommendation is to use jnos386g.exe (80386) or jno086g.exe (8086) as
a replacement for the nos11* compiles. This versions are derived
from jnos110g and have all the nice servers from nos11* including
a nntpserver (jnos386g only). There is also a PASV mode
ftp compiled in. jnos386g/jnos086g are part of the 'slip_kit' suite.
You'll find a collection of all my jnos* compiles in the YANOS directory.
However my jnosx86g compiles are heavily tested and very stable, so you should
not need any other compile!

JNOS is very well supported by the JNOS group at hydra.carleton.ca.
You'll find my latest JNOS compiles in my 'YANOS' directory.

Note that the syntax of some commands in jnos slightly differs from
the nos11* syntax! (see the jnos.nos example). I add the JNOS Online-help
files 'cmdshlp2.zip' to this distribution. Unpack this archive
to the directory nos/help. Type 'help <command> to get help from
a specific command.

Note that the sxyntax for html-files differs from the syntax
shown in ka9q1294.txt. It's possible to use relative path's
and to acces binary files with a normal URL to the http server.
('gopher-trick' no longer needed). Accessing the ftp/gopher server
is as simple too: The URL's ftp://server/ or gopher//server/
will log you to the rootdir of your ftp- gopher server. And
its's possible to retrieve any file from the server with an URL
like this:

http:/server/path/file or ftp://server/path/file.

'path' is the path relative to the ftp homedir.

Credits go to Selcuk Ozturk, who made a lot of modifications
in ftp- gopher- and http server!
