WIZ ALARM CLOCK DOCUMENTATION
VERSION 1.1

Wiz Alarm Clock is an utility for Microsoft Windows 3.1. Alarm Clock
replaces the Windows Clock with a full-featured alarm clock.

When minimized, Alarm Clock's icon is a round, red clock. The current
time is displayed in the icon caption. All alarms still work when
minimized, although you cannot configure the alarms or view properties.

Alarm Clock's main window has a grey background and displays the current
time. The window caption tells the current date.

To set the alarm, click the window or press the 'C' key. When the
configuration dialog is active, Alarm Clock will display "Waiting..."
instead of the current time. This saves memory and resources while
setting the alarm. See THE CONFIGURATION DIALOG for more info.

To see when you've set the alarm for, click the Alarm Clock window
with the right mouse button, or press the 'P' key. A dialog stating
the alarm time, alarm sound, and alarm message or one informing you
that "You have not yet set the clock's alarm." will appear. Press
the 'Close' button or use standard Windows shortcuts to close the
window.

To see what version of Alarm Clock you are using, bring up the
Configuration dialog, and click the 'About...' button (or press
Alt+B) to show the About dialog.

To access the help file, press 'F1' key.

THE ALARM DIALOG:
When it's time to sound the alarm, Alarm Clock will either play the
selected WAV file or sound two system beeps. Then a message box with
your Alarm Message will be displayed. If you choose System modal
message, you will not be able to use your computer until you acknowledge
the alarm. Otherwise, the Alarm Clock dialog will popup above all other
tasks, but you don't have to acknowledge it right away.

SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITIES:
Alarm Clock may cause problems when running with After Dark 3.0. When
beta testing Alarm Clock with After Dark 3.0, the system hung each time
a modal message was generated while After Dark was blanking the screen.
To continue using the system, press Ctrl+Alt+Del. If you're using
Enhanced Mode Windows, ALARM.EXE will terminate, not the entire system.
However, non-modal messages successfully generated the Please Wake
banner. When "Enable 'Please Wake Up' banners" was not checked, and
modal messages were generated, the system appeared to hang, but could
be used by pressing the spacebar. Non-modal messages did not wake the
system are cause any message to be displayed.

WHEN USING AFTER DARK 3.0 AND ALARM CLOCK, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU
DO NOT CHECK "ENABLE 'PLEASE WAKE UP' BANNERS."
