              WizBoot Instructions and Usage

WizBoot consists of 2 seperate and slightly different applications.
WizBoot.com is a DOS application, and WizBoot.exe is for Win3X and higher.

WizBoot.com (DOS)
A simple little app that restarts your PC! Easy to use, just type
WIZBOOT at DOS prompt and press ENTER. This program has options that
no longer apply to newer PCs, especially "Lock Hard Disk", and may
not function on your PC. If it locks up...press Restart or turn PC
off then back on. It doesn't "write" to disk, so no data should be
corrupted. You can also include the option you want on the commmand
line, such as this:
WIZBOOT 2
this will do a complete reboot of your PC, and bypass the interface
mode.

WizBoot.exe (Windows 3.1 and higher)
Simple application to interface with Windows APIs that in addition
to rebooting your PC, it also Exits to DOS or will Restart Windows.
It does not have the same boot options as WizBoot.com for DOS. You
can minimize the running application to have it in the background
while you work in other Windows applications. Tested to work in
Windows 3.1 and Windows 95a, it should work in all "Win9X" versions.
Consists of basically a toolbar with 3 icons, one to Restart Windows,
one to Exit to DOS Mode and one to Reboot the PC.
Note: Sometimes utilities that call these 3 Windows APIs will not
function properly with screen saver applications, notably the
AfterDark type. This is because both applications are hooking
similar APIs. There is no workaround other than choosing a
     different screen saver.

To prevent possibly calling the wrong application when you issue the
command to load either of these applications, it is recommended to
put the 2 versions in seperate directories OR issue the full file
name when you wish to load the software. This is due to DOS and
Windows searching your "PATH" environment for the program with the
name you type at the command line. This should only be a problem
when running in Windows itself...the DOS version will load in Windows
and if you don't want it loaded, just Exit without rebooting. The
Windows version WILL NOT load in plain DOS. To be sure you load the
program you desire, use full name, such as WIZBOOT.EXE, to load the
utility.
